Worked as a Solids Control Tech for Clean Harbors in Canada for 1.5 years. Forget exactly what I made but it was more than $19/hr. If you're sitting in with a rig expect 12 hour shifts day or night. Other times it was shop work 8 hr days but on call for your 14 days . More than a few times I had just crawled into bed to receive a call to go and fix a problem at a rig 3 to 4 hours away. The not knowing where you might end up kinda sucked.

Do not buy any product from Saddlemen Seat Covers. Terrible material, terrible customer service and will not take return on a new damaged seat.

Thanks for showing us just how bad Saddleman seat covers are... I will order from WetOkole instead. This setup fits like garbage bag. Loose, baggy, poorly-fitted seat covers which delete features from the interior aren't what I'm looking for and that's exactly what this company makes. I'm glad I didn't waste Mt money on these

Driving from VA to Midland and it’s a 23 hour drive and leaving the nest finally. Idk what to expect but I seen oil prices go up especially recently. It’s at $88 it was stuck at $80 for the longest I’m guessing the war had something to with it but what should I expect? I’m going to a job fair and have absolutely zero experience with no cdl but will work my ass off and want a good opportunity to do better in life. Any advice would help

I bought a Husq 254F special edition 7 wks ago. I live on a 5.5 acre horse property with no horses, pastures were 2ft tall, not cut all summer. My personal experience with the camera: The camera is well built and the recording is high quality. My problem with it is, the camera rely heavily on your smart phone to work well. The auto recording will be dependent of your phone, that causes your phone to work extremely slow, specially if you need data while driving. I have two phones, so I tried to make the camera work for me, but just the fact that if I used the phone hotspot, it will cause the camera to disconnect and make me unable to recover the video recording. So after trying it for a little while I decided the product is not for me. The other minor issues with taking long to connect to the phone, you can work your way around it, but what became a deal breaker for me was the fact that the camera turned my phone useless while it was connected, and I never knew if I remembered to reconnect the phone to the camera making it unreliable.

Coming from an experienced solids control consultant. This guy sounds like typical b**** boy. Everything he is saying plus layoff due to injury. Puts him in typical shit bag category from start. Plus a contractor hiring someone with no experience is huge red flag. Reputable contractors especially in far north oilfield. Only hires experienced hands as contractors are solids control consultants. I.e. must be able to perform at and above typical solids control technician 1/2 capacity from the start. Anyways Solids control consulting for experienced hands is highly profitable and an awesome job. Cannot be a little whiny baby though in oilfield

Someone told me if I wished to work in the oilfield they recommended solid controls. How is the pay and hours per week? I don't mind long hours and hard work. I have a college degree and learn very quickly

Four summers with Cabot Gas out of Kermit, 72-75 provided all the $$$ I needed for a college education down in San Marcos. No, I didn't like that, work much, but no one knew it. Years later my wife and I moved to Wink and I taught English by day and played guitar on the patio at Midland's Venezia's by night. I liked it. The teaching salaries were so good, we both taught in Kermit too, that we bought a farm on a river in Colorado's Rockies and we run that and I still play guitar down town. Now ain't that an American dream?
